Day 1

Meet at meeting point: St John the Baptist's Church High St, Glastonbury BA6 9DR Walks start at 11am (this can be flexible to some extent), there is also an option to start at 2pm if you are not arriving until later in the day. We meet in a prominent spot, outside the St John's church on the High Street. You can't miss it.
Attractions and Activities: Glastonbury (Free entry How to visit:No indoor visits) We'll walk around the lanes and fields of Glastonbury, meeting the most prominent trees and taking in some spectacular views. There will be time to talk, to observe, and time to relax and enjoy the natural surrounds. The tour is accompanied by poetry recitals and a short performance of gentle folk music inspired by the land and the trees. We can locate some of the major attractions on route to help you get your bearings in the town.
Attractions and Activities: White Spring (Free entry How to visit:No indoor visits) A short visit to the springs at the foot of Well house lane - We'll stop here to take a drink of the healing waters, and to visit the White Spring, if it's open. We'll also locate the entrance to the Chalice well gardens, a recommended visitor attraction.
Attractions and Activities: Glastonbury Tor (Free entry How to visit:No indoor visits) A Tor climb can be included in the Tour - it is a great way to finish the walk and get the full Glastonbury experience. Matt will give you a guided tour of Avalon's horizon in each direction, while we peer down upon the routes we have just traversed.
Attractions and Activities: Chalice Well (Free entry How to visit:No indoor visits) We'll locate the entrance to the Chalice Well Gardens, we wont enter the gardens as this is something that visitors might want to explore in their own time.
Guests leave on their own: Chalice WellEnd the tour on your own and bring your trip to a happy conclusion Chalice Well Trust, 85-89 Chilkwell St, Glastonbury BA6 8DD, UK Alternatively we can end at one of Glastonbury's wells. All end point are within easy walking distance of the town centre.
Guests leave on their own: Glastonbury TorEnd the tour on your own and bring your trip to a happy conclusion If you would like to climb the Tor, we can end the experience at the foot of the hill.
Guests leave on their own: End the tour on your own and bring your trip to a happy conclusion The tour can take you back to the town centre or I can guide you towards local sites of interest such as the Tor or Chalice Well (Red Spring), and we can end the tour there. The tour can be adjusted to suit your requirements.

Your local guide, Matt, will lead a gentle meandering walk around Glastonbury's beautiful countryside, taking in spectacular views and enjoying places of outstanding natural beauty. Your guide, Matt, a resident of Glastonbury for over 12 years, possesses keen knowledge of local trees, walking routes, and landscapes. He will talk at length about the trees while providing personal insights into the town and its surrounding countryside. You will learn about local tourist attractions and activities, discover idyllic spots off the beaten track, and Matt will take you to meet some of the oldest and largest trees in the area. The walk is accompanied by readings of seasonal nature poetry and a short acoustic performance of gentle folk music. A Tor climb can be included - a great way to finish the walk by peering down upon the routes we have just traversed. This is an exciting opportunity to discover Avalon via the trees, guided by a local Glastonbury resident.
