The itinerary was very reasonable, and our tour guide and driver, Mr. Baiyin, provided excellent service. It was just a bit of a shame that the weather was bad and we missed the cable car!

The driver I had on this trip to Mount Fuji was incredibly responsible. He arranged the sightseeing well, and we even got to see the fireworks display in the evening. He drove steadily and safely throughout the trip, and was very helpful in reminding us of important things to note. The journey was peaceful and comfortable; he was super reliable and made the trip very worry-free.

Of all the things we did during our trip to Tokyo, the most fortunate and enjoyable part was the day trip to Mount Fuji. I had visited Mount Fuji 10 years ago, but it wasn't as amazing as this trip to Lake Ashi and Owakudani. Seeing Mount Fuji from the lake, in the distance, and through the torii gates was truly exhilarating. The weather was also fantastic that day, with excellent visibility. Mount Fuji displayed different colors and dynamism in the morning, noon, and afternoon/evening. In the evening, we even captured a photo of Mount Fuji with a pinkish-blue hue covered in a white "milk foam"—we were so lucky! The day trip itinerary was well-planned, compact, and reasonable. What impressed me most was our tour guide, Vera. Vera's professionalism was evident from the night before the tour. After we exchanged contact information, she kept confirming that I had found the correct meeting point. She was clearly a very dedicated and responsible guide. Once on the bus, our group included guests from different countries and regions, and the guide delivered her explanations in both English and Chinese at every stop. My daughter even got to practice her English! It was wonderful; tour guide service is truly commendable. At Lake Ashi, we rode a pirate ship, took amazing photos of the torii gate and Mount Fuji, ate black eggs at Owakudani, and she even recommended some unique fridge magnets. Even though it was late when we returned, Vera still told us how to find good restaurants in Shinjuku. We were very lucky and happy to have the opportunity to tour Japan with Vera, and we hope to have the chance to meet her again on our next trip to Japan.
Reviews: Hakone Free Pass

It's very convenient; be sure to buy and exchange it at Odawara Station. With this pass, you'll have virtually no expenses along the route. From Odawara, take two trains to Gora Station. Then from there, take the funicular, then the cable car, then a boat, and then a bus back to Gora. Don't worry about the number of transfers; this is the most interesting part of the onsen journey.
