▲ [Shiraito Falls] Located in the middle of Mt. Hakine at an altitude of 900 meters, it is a designated scenic spot in Fukuoka Prefecture. The height difference of Shiraito Falls is about 24 meters. As its name suggests, the water of the waterfall flows like a thin white silk thread. The magnificent splashing water in summer makes people feel relaxed and happy. It is a resting place full of negative ions and natural atmosphere. It is also a well-known tourist attraction in Japan.
▲ [Raizan Senjoji Temple] Daibei-oin Temple of Raizan Senjoji Temple is a famous spot for viewing autumn maple leaves. The beautiful courtyard, the 4-meter-high wooden Thousand-armed Guanyin statue, and the five hundred arhats lined up on the slope of the mountain are all worth a special visit. According to legend, Senjoji Temple was built in the 14th year of Tenpyo (742). Daiibei-oin Temple was built by Lord Kuroda Tsugata in the 2nd year of Horeki (1752). As the center of Guanyin belief in Raizan, the main wooden Thousand-armed Guanyin statue of Daiibei-oin Temple is also called the "Six-foot Thousand-armed Guanyin Statue" because of its height of nearly 16 feet (about 4.8 meters). Judging from its morphological characteristics, this Guanyin statue is believed to be a work from the late Kamakura period (about 700 years ago). Usually the Thousand-armed Guanyin statue is simplified to 48 hands, but this statue actually has a thousand hands.
▲ [Akeya Daimon] In the Akeya Daimon Park on Itoshima Island, there is a forest trail surrounded by seaside shrubs. The entrance of the trail is covered by trees, which is a bit hidden. It looks very much like the Totoro Forest in the Ghibli fairy tale, so it instantly became a popular spot for Instagram check-ins. Walking on the dense forest trail that is about hundreds of meters long and can't see the sun, people can't help but look forward to encountering the legendary Totoro at the exit.
▲ The Coconut Tree Swing is situated on the coastline, a wooden swing suspended between two tall coconut trees, with an endless blue sky and azure sea behind it, making you feel as if you're in a tropical paradise. Sitting on the swing, gently swaying in the sea breeze, a sense of exhilaration and freedom arises, as if you're about to fly into the sky.
▲ [Sakurai Futamigaura] A holy place for checking in and making friends & a pure white torii gate, which has been revered since ancient times. The pure white torii gate standing in front of the blue sea is impressive. The Meoto Rock, about 150 meters from the coast, is a 11.8-meter-high male rock and a 11.2-meter-high female rock tied together with a large shimen rope. Sakurai Futamigaura is the sacred body of Sakurai Shrine. In the early days, it was said to be the "entrance to the Dragon Palace". The floating Meoto Rock is a famous attraction along with Futamigaura in Ise City, Mie Prefecture. The sea is calm in spring and turbulent in winter. The different scenery changes with the seasons, making Futamigaura a popular photo spot.
▲ [Fukuoka Tower] The tower is a modern building inlaid with 8,000 pieces of semi-reflective glass, and is nicknamed "Mirror Sail" for its glittering mirror sail. Through the 360° large panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows in the 123-meter-high observatory, you can take in the beautiful scenery of Fukuoka Street and Hakata Bay.
