Loch Ness one-day tour from Inverness Your Loch Ness one-day tour will depart from Inverness at 08:45 and travel along the beautiful Caledonian Canal to its source, Loch Ness. At 24 miles long and over 700 feet deep, Loch Ness is the largest lake in the UK and is famous for sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, affectionately known as "The Ness". Fort Augustus<img src="https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/0355j12000fi7u7usEEF4_Z_1000_0.jpg" source="ttd" imageid="52296273" sourcewidth="1080" sourcehight="1080">Afterwards, we head to Fort Augustus, the farthest point on our Loch Ness tour. We’ll stop here for a leisurely one-hour boat trip*, exploring Loch Ness on a Loch Ness cruise. Afterwards, enjoy lunch in this small town of just 650 people, a perfect spot to relax and watch the boats pass by on the Caledonian Canal. 3.Falls of Foyers<img src="https://ak-d.tripcdn.com/images/0354p12000fhnjyty4636_Z_1000_0.jpg" source="ttd" imageid="52295930" sourcewidth="1080" sourcehight="1080">After lunch, our Loch Ness tour will begin the return journey to Inverness, stopping at Foyell Falls on the way. This magnificent 165-foot waterfall was a favorite of poet Robbie Burns and is a truly breathtaking sight. There is plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere of the falls before continuing to the village of Doyles and visiting Doyles Beach, located on the eastern shore of Loch Ness. After a short stroll on the beach, board the bus back to Inverness, concluding your one-day tour to Loch Ness. Estimated time of return to Inverness is approximately evening.
