Travel to Osian town and spend a day in the Thar desert.

Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Delhi

Arrive in Delhi and meet with our representatives. Travel to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Delhi

Visit the Red Fort, constructed by Shah Jahan in 1639 when the capital shifted from Agra to Delhi; it was the primary residence of the Mughal Dynasty and is located in the city center. It is made from red sandstone, and that is where it gets its name from. The Red Fort has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007.

Travel to Qutub Minar, a unique five-story tapering tower with a height of 73 meters. This famous historical monument is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take a look at the India Gate, a war memorial located near the Rajpath, dedicated to the soldiers of British India who died in the war.

Explore the Lotus Temple, famous for its flower-like dome shape; the Lotus Temple is a house of worship open to all. Winning numerous awards for its architecture, this place is a prominent attraction in Delhi. Check out Raj Ghat, a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi; it is a black stone platform in an open-air complex that marks Gandhi's cremation spot.

Walk around Chandni Chowk, the oldest and busiest market in New Delhi. Chandni Chowk's literal translation is Moonlight Square, and it was built by a Mughal Emperor in the 17th century. It was divided by canals to reflect moonlight, but now that particular area is closed. It is one of the biggest wholesale markets in India. Pay your respects at Jama Masjid, one of the largest mosques in the country. Jama Masjid is made up of red sandstone and marble. It was constructed by Shah Jahan and is visited by hundreds of people every day.

Head to Humayun's Tomb, the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. The tomb was commissioned by Humayun's first wife and chief consort, Empress Bega Begum, in 1558 and designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyas and his son, Sayyid Muhammad, Persian architects who were chosen by her. Day 3: Delhi To Agra (240 KM/4 Hrs)

Take a 4-hour drive to Agra from Delhi. Arrive at Agra and visit the Taj Mahal, an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the southern bank of the river Yamuna in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to house the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal; it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself. It is one of the seven wonders of the world and is a magnificent sight for the eyes!

Travel to Agra Fort, a historic fort that was the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal Dynasty until 1638, when the capital was shifted from Agra to Delhi. Before the colonial rule, the last Indian rulers to have occupied the fort were the Marathas. Shop at the old Agra market. Travel to your hotel in Agra and spend the night there.

Day 4: Agra To Jaipur (250 KM/5 Hrs) En route see the Fatehpur Sikri & Chand Baori Step Well

Travel to Jaipur from Agra via Fatehpur Sikri and Chand Baori. Halt for sightseeing at Fatehpur Sikri, a small city in northern India, founded by a 16th-century Mughal emperor. Red sandstone buildings cluster at the city center. Enter from the grand Buland Darwaza gate, which will lead you to the entrance of the Jama Masjid mosque. Nearby is the marble Tomb of Sheikh Salim Chishti. Also, check out the Jodha Bai's Palace, a unique fusion of Hindu and Mughal architectural styles. Visit Chand Baori, built during the 8th and 9th centuries, with 3,500 narrow steps arranged in perfect symmetry, which descend 20 meters to the bottom of the well.

Arrive at Jaipur and visit the colorful local markets of the city. Overnight stay at a hotel in Jaipur.

Day 5: Jaipur Sightseeing

Visit Amer Fort, situated on the top of a hill, built by Raja Man Singh I. It is known for its artistic elements and unique architecture. The Maota Lake located in front of the monument acts as a source of water for the fort. Spend time at the City Palace and learn about its history. It was originally the administrative and ceremonial seat of Maharaja of Jaipur, constructed in 1721. It was also the location of religious and cultural events that took place at that time. It now houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum and continues to be the home of the Jaipur royal family.

Check out the Hawa Mahal, also known as The Palace of Winds, made with red and pink sandstone, which makes it distinguished from the surroundings. The palace is a five-story pyramidal-shaped monument and was built by Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799. Explore the Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage site built in 1734. It is a collection of nineteen astronomical instruments built by the Rajput king Sawai Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur. The instruments allow the observation of astronomical positions with the naked eye. Travel to the Jal Mahal, a floating palace situated in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. The palace and the lake were renovated and expanded in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.

Shop at the Johari Bazaar, a shopper's paradise and a must-visit in Jaipur. This market of exquisite jewelry and artifacts can immerse shoppers in its glittering glory. It is considered to be one of the oldest markets of Jaipur City. Travel back to the hotel and stay the night.

Day 6: Jaipur to Jodhpur (320 KM/6 Hrs)

Travel from Jaipur to Jodhpur. Arrive at Jodhpur and visit the Mehrangarh Fort, one of the biggest forts in India, which houses several palaces inside its boundaries known for their intricate carvings and expansive courtyards. Visit the Jaswant Thada, built by Maharaja Sardar Singh in 1899 in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. It also serves as the cremation ground for the royal family. Overnight stay at a hotel in Jodhpur.

Day 7: Jodhpur To Osian

Take a drive from Jodhpur and arrive at Osian, an ancient town near Jodhpur city. Go to the beautiful temple in Osian town. Visit the Osian desert, an oasis in the Thar Desert. Try camel riding in the desert and watch the beautiful sunset. Have dinner with the local villagers. Travel to the railway station and take an overnight train back to Delhi.

Day 8: Depart from Delhi

Arrive in Delhi and transfer to the hotel where you can relax and freshen up. Travel to the airport and depart for your destination.
