Guide Xu demonstrated a high level of professionalism and cultural literacy during the tour of Chen Garden, Sanwei Study, Lu Xun's Former Residence, Hundred Herb Garden, and the awning boat. His explanations were meticulous and patient. His introduction to Lu Xun's Former Residence incorporated details from the original text of "From Hundred Herb Garden to Sanwei Study," pointing out the historical correspondence between "soapberry tree" and "raspberry," making the textual descriptions vivid. When explaining Chen Garden, he not only recounted the complete love story of Lu You and Tang Wan but also recited "The Phoenix Hairpin" and analyzed the imagery of "red, soft hands" and "yellow wine," deeply connecting the garden landscape with the poetry and avoiding the dryness of isolated explanations. Overall, Guide Xu's cultural connections and attentive service allowed tourists to truly experience the cultural heritage and water town characteristics of Shaoxing.

The half-day tour of West Lake was well-planned. We visited Three Pools Mirroring the Moon Island, taking photos at the best vantage point. Our guide, Mr. Meng, provided excellent commentary—knowledgeable, witty, and humorous—which greatly enhanced our understanding of West Lake. There were no forced purchases. Highly recommended.
