A gondola ride on a relaxing circuit far from the hustle and bustle of the carnival, gliding along small waterways where you wonder how you'll make it... the gondoliers know how to maneuver... a pleasant tour with an audio guide in French on an app on your phone (don't forget your headphones)... The Best of Venice tour of St. Markβs Basilica, the Dogeβs Palace, and the gondola ride was very good. Marco, our tour guide, clearly was highly educated, well spoken, and incredibly informative, with a way of explaining Venetian history that really clicked with us.
Marco was engaging, and easy to listen to. This tour was well organized and offered a great balance of history. We learned a lot and enjoyed every moment.β
