The Mexican authorities in charge of protecting cultural sites ask that visitors to Chichén Itzá Archaeological Zone do not drink alcohol or take drugs that could change how they behave.To help people follow this request, there will be two checkpoints: one at the hotel pick-up and one before entering the site. If a visitor is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, they will be politely asked to choose another day to visit Chichén Itzá, as long as they meet the conditions for visiting.
