Product details

Discover Krakow's Ethnographic Museum. In the part of the town hall there is an exhibition devoted to Polish folk culture, and the second building of the museum, the so-called Esterka's house contains temporary exhibitions in a beautifully vaulted basement.

The current exhibitions come from a small collection of Seweryn Udziela and include about 80,000 exhibits, most of which come from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The Seweryn Ethnographic Museum, a kind of shelter for Krakow's peasant culture, invites all visitors to see its valuable and extensive collections.

These exhibits shed light on the artists' attraction to reviving folklore, which they saw as an antidote to the stagnation and cultural crisis of the Polish intelligentsia at the turn of the 20th century.
