WATA was founded in 1864. Over 100 years of ups and downs have not affected it. So far, it has been run by the fifth generation and has been passed down together with the old buildings of Miyagawa Town. As a long-established Kaiseki restaurant, WATA has its own obsession with taste, providing guests with delicious mountain and sea delicacies from all over Japan in season, and cherishing the encounter with every guest. In addition, the restaurant has also kept pace with the times and made many innovations, using creative dishes to refresh guests' inherent impression of Kaiseki cuisine.Miyagawa-cho, where the restaurant is located, is one of the five major flower streets in Kyoto, and it retains a large number of historical buildings with an antique style. Walking along the street, you can often see geishas with exquisite makeup, allowing you to get close to the real Japanese culture.The restaurant has 7 counter seats on the first floor. The bar table is made of a whole piece of cypress. The warm color Standard Price people relax. There are special private rooms on the second floor for guests with children.
