Dotonbori is located at the southern end of Shinsaibashi. It is one of Osaka's bustling business districts and a landmark gourmet base. It offers ramen, takoyaki, teppanyaki, grilled kebabs, revolving sushi, puffer fish and various desserts. The densely populated giant billboards on both sides of the Dotonbori River Canal are also a major attraction here. The most notable ones are the Glico human-shaped billboards and the big crab signboard of Kandoraku. At night when the neon lights are flashing, the place is even more lively. You can also take a sightseeing boat to explore the night views on both sides of the strait. Osaka Castle, also called "Golden Castle" or "Jincheng", is a famous tourist attraction in Osaka and a symbol of Osaka. It is located in Osaka Castle Park in Osaka City, and is one of the three most famous cities in Japanese history along with Nagoya Castle and Kumamoto Castle. After Toyotomi Hideyoshi unified the Japanese archipelago, he began to build Osaka Castle in 1583 to demonstrate his power. It was destroyed several times and what you see now was rebuilt in 1931.The entire Osaka Castle is divided into inner city, middle city and outer city (i.e. Honmaru, Ninomaru, Sannomaru). The magnificent gates, tall and steep walls and two wide moats inside and outside are very spectacular, unlike any other in Japan. No ancient city can compare with it. In particular, the 12-kilometer-long city wall on the moat is made of a large number of boulders. It is very majestic and makes Osaka Castle impregnable. Tsutenkaku is located in the northern part of Osaka Shinsekai, with a total height of 103 meters. Although it is not as charming and dreamy as Tokyo Tower, it was designed by architect Tataka Naito. In the Conan movie version of "The Magician of the End of the Century", the "Sky Tower" that Kaitou Kid refers to in the code word is Tsutenkaku.Standing under Tsutenkaku Tower and looking up, you will notice an 8-sided weather forecast light on the top of the tower. Although it is not eye-catching during the day, it will change into wonderful colors at night to indicate tomorrow's weather conditions. White means sunny days, orange means cloudy days, blue means rainy days, and pink means snow, which is fun. If you see half white and half orange, it's sunny to cloudy weather.
