Our guide will take us through the corners of this famous building, a traditional place for the coronations and burials of the English monarchs and, later, the British monarchs. Since William the Conqueror's coronation in 1066, all English monarchs have been crowned at the Abbey, with the exception of Joan I and Edward V. In recent years, the Abbey has been the site of the funeral of Princess Diana and the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, and the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II.
