There is no need to rent a boat to dive into the deep sea, no need to carry an oxygen tank, and even no need to wait. Take the local crab boat to the whale shark feeding site. Even if you can't swim, don't worry too much. The boat stays in the sea area that is only 3 or 4 meters deep.
