Introduction to the hostHello everyone, I am Naxi Tusi and Jielin, the hosts of Eatwith in Yuhu Village, Lijiang. Xuesong Village, also known as Yuhu Village, is a quiet ancient village located at the foot of the snow-capped mountains. The surrounding scenery is very beautiful. The houses in the village are all made of stone. Built of bricks, it exudes an ancient and simple atmosphere. It is suitable for taking pictures, and it is also suitable for tourists who like tranquility to stay here and enjoy the tranquility and beauty at the foot of the snow-capped mountains. Xuesong Village is not as famous as Dayan Ancient City and Shuhe Ancient Town, but it is actually one of the birthplaces of Naxi Mu clan toast, and it is also well-known internationally. Activity Highlights/Experience IntroductionYuhu Village is located at the southern foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, about 18 kilometers away from the ancient city of Lijiang. It is more than ten kilometers away from the Banyan Tree Lijiang where we stayed. There is a direct road in front of the hotel and the transportation is extremely convenient. Yuhu is an artificial lake dug by the Mu family before the Ming Dynasty. "Reflection of Jade Lake" is the first of the twelve beautiful scenes of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and was praised by many Naxi poets of the Ming and Qing dynasties. This trip to Yunnan is purely for leisure and vacation, and what I am most interested in is understanding the local folk culture. Wearing a dress, I have always been in awe of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Generally speaking, the traditional ancient houses of the Naxi people are built of wood, and Yuhu Village is even older. The rows of stone houses and stones scattered all over the mountains are the signature and characteristics of the Naxi people. They also highlight the rugged character and worship of nature of the Naxi people. The houses here are all built according to the trend of the mountains. If you look from the bottom up, the rows of houses nestled under the snow-capped mountains are very spectacular. Our house is also a typical Naxi traditional building, with tiled roofs and painted eaves. Most of them are "three squares and one screen wall, four in five patios" or "one entrance and two courtyards" and "front and back yards". The walls are mostly made of local materials. Made of special folded glacial stone.This experience will be held at my home, which is also a small Naxi toast museum. There are Naxi ethnic ornaments passed down from generation to generation.
