Top Experiences & Travel Essentials in Macau

Macau, a tiny peninsula on the southern coast of China, blends Portuguese heritage with high-gloss modernity. Once a colonial trading port, it has transformed into the “Las Vegas of the East,” with dazzling skyline, grand resorts, and UNESCO-listed old town. Things to do in Macau range from exploring cobbled streets lined with pastel-coloured buildings to watching the fountains dance outside the Cotai Strip’s luxury hotels. The famous Venetian Macau—with its indoor canals and opulent casino floors—is both a shopping paradise and architectural spectacle. And for those feeling lucky, the legendary Macau casinos offer the best entertainment late into the night.

I bought a discounted ticket, but there's no discount for children. I had to buy it separately at the original price, which felt a bit unfair. The food was all there, so the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, the ingredients were a bit small. The lobster wasn't big, but it seemed fresh. The oysters were small, but some were flavorful. The fish next to the lobster was average. The crab legs and lobster claws were good, and my kids loved them. The steak, however, felt a bit juicy and disappointing. The desserts were excellent, with the macarons and sawdust pudding being delicious. Overall, it was good value.
