Northwest of Boston, Concord is an affluent suburb that has been drawing visitors for centuries. The town is now not only known for its revolutionary ties, but also for its notable literary ties, including to Thoreau, Emerson, Hawthorne, and Alcott, with famous sites including the Old North Bridge, Orchard House and Walden Pond. Now, the town remains home to present-day notable authors, including Doris Kearns Goodwin, Alan Lightman and Gregory Maguire. Your guide will take you to several of the city’s highlights, including Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, which is the final resting place for several of the above-mentioned authors, and your tour includes tickets to explore Alcott’s home, Orchard House, at your own leisure.
