Visiting the Liangzhou Alliance Memorial Hall, the stories I learned about—the Mongol Golden Family signing a pact for the peaceful liberation of Tibet with Tibetan Buddhist masters, and Phagpa becoming Kublai Khan's Imperial Preceptor—were all vividly depicted here. The Tiantishan Grottoes, with their Liangzhou style, profoundly influenced the Datong Yungang Grottoes and the Luoyang Longmen Grottoes. The pavilion after the snowfall and the frozen reservoir at the entrance reminded me of Zhang Dai's "Record of the Lake Pavilion." Wushaoling, a branch of the Qilian Mountains, is located at the intersection of three major plateaus, at the boundary between arid and semi-arid regions—a real-life experience, bringing geography lessons to life. Very satisfied. The next day, on my independent trip, I visited the Wuwei Confucian Temple. Actually, there are many other places I wanted to visit: Kumarajiva Temple, Leitai Han Museum, the South Gate Museum, the Western Xia Museum, the Wuwei Museum, and lots of delicious food! Wuwei possesses both the serene tranquility of its rich history and the vibrant energy of everyday life. Worth a second visit; take your time to explore!
