Nestled in this tiny village is the Varnhuys Cranes Caves, the highlight of a visit to Arniston Varnhuys Crans Nature Reserve.The cave's low tides are thrilling and we'll peer over barnacle-wrapped rocks and stare intently at the ocean, looking for strange freaks.This is a large cave located in the ocean.After exploring Arniston, we will head south to Struisbaai, where you will enjoy a variety of activities and watch many fishermen working in their colorful boats, while enjoying local fresh fish and chips and local beers.Struisbaai has resident Patri (Batfish) who likes this small harbor very much. He was first attracted by the debris thrown by fishing boats, and then became a long-term resident of the small harbor. Today, he is regarded as Struisbaai's mascot. Many manta rays from different species have also joined Parrie, making Stuisbaai their home. Some locals even feed it directly by touching it, and they have certainly become an unmissable attraction.From here we will continue to explore the Agulhas Lighthouse, after which we will walk to the official meeting point of two oceans, the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.Then continue through the town of Elim, stopping for a wine tasting at the Black Oystercatcher winery.Continuing the drive through the towns of Stamford and Hermanus, during whale season (June to November) visitors have the option of whale watching from the cliffs. Travel through the beautiful towns of Betty’s Bay and Pringle Bay, stopping at Stony Point to view the stunning African penguin colony.We return to Cape Town via the scenic R44 route, filled with numerous spectacular hills and mountains.Back in Cape Town we will transfer you to your hotel to end our day trip.
