Haeundae Beach
Haeundae Beach is located in the southeast of Busan and is an urban beach characterized by its fine white sand and shallow bay. The beach is approx. 1.5 km long with fine, soft sand, and the slope into the water is gentle, making it suitable for swimming and playing in the water. High-rise buildings and hotels are distributed around the coast, where modern urban views and the open sea complement each other, creating a unique coastal landscape. The name of the beach is related to the pen name "Haeun" of the Silla-era scholar Choi Chi-won, and the "Haeundae" inscription remains on the rocks of nearby Dongbaek Park, adding a historical touch to the coast. In summer, rows of parasols are a common sight on the beach, attracting many tourists to swim and relax. At night, the lights of the high-rise buildings reflect on the sea, and you can also enjoy the coastal night view while walking along the seaside promenade. The beach also hosts the Polar Bear Swimming Festival and the Haeundae Sand Festival, where you can enjoy large sand sculptures and related activities during the festival. During New Year's Day, the seaside is also one of the spots to watch the sunrise and welcome the new year. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple
Haedong Yonggungsa Temple is situated on the cliffs of the east coast of Busan, a Buddhist temple nestled between the mountains and the sea. Legend has it that the temple was founded in 1376 by the monk Naong, who served as the royal preceptor to King Gongmin. It was later destroyed by war and rebuilt in the 1930s under the guidance of monks from Tongdosa Temple. In 1974, the head monk Jeong-am dreamed of the White-robed Guanyin ascending to heaven on a dragon while praying, which is how the temple got its name, adding a legendary touch to this seaside temple. Descending 108 stone steps from the entrance leads to the temple, passing by Sunrise Rock, which is perfect for viewing the sea and sunrise. The temple buildings are distributed along the coastal cliffs; the Seawater Guanyin statue faces the sea, the Main Hall (Daeungjeon) is decorated with traditional dancheong paintings, and the Cave Dharma Hall (Gulbeopdang) is built into a rock cave, enshrining a seated Maitreya Buddha. The Four-Lion Three-Story Stone Pagoda in front of the Main Hall is also a unique feature, with the 4 stone lions displaying expressions of joy, anger, sorrow, and happiness, respectively. In addition, the temple also has a Dragon King Hall and stone carvings such as the 12 zodiac animal statues. In spring, cherry blossoms near the entrance add color to the temple. Around Buddha's Birthday, rows of colorful lanterns are hung throughout the temple, and at night, the lights reflect off the ocean waves, creating a unique scene. Yongdusan Park
Yongdusan Park is a park that encompasses the entire hill. The hill's shape resembles a dragon's head reaching toward the harbor, which is how it got its name. In the past, the hill was covered in dense pine forests and was once known as "Songhyunsan." The park entrance features an outdoor escalator, allowing visitors to ride up from the commercial street and enter the park, making it convenient for those who want to enjoy a high vantage point while shopping. The park's attractions are centrally located. The flower clock in the hilltop plaza is decorated with fresh flowers, with different colors for each season. Nearby stands a bronze statue of the Joseon naval hero Yi Sun-sin, and the bell pavilion next to it houses the Citizen's Bell. Ringing the bell to welcome the New Year at the turn of the year is a long-standing city tradition in Busan. The park's landmark is the approx. 120m Busan Tower. The observation deck at the top offers a wide view, allowing you to overlook Busan Port, Yeongdo, and Yeongdo Bridge, as well as enjoy the scenery of the surrounding streets. After nightfall, the tower lights up, reflecting against the night view of the harbor. Cheongsapo
Cheongsapo is a small seaside fishing village located between the Haeundae and Songjeong coasts, retaining the traditional fishing port atmosphere by relying on a quiet little harbor. The red and white twin lighthouses standing side by side at the end of the breakwater are a representative view here, and also a spot to enjoy the seascape and sunrise. Inside the embankment, there are clusters of sashimi restaurants and grilled shellfish restaurants. Fresh seafood is prepared to order, and grilled shellfish and shellfish platters are common local delicacies. Another feature of Cheongsapo is the glass skywalk observatory that extends over the sea. Built along the abandoned railway line of the Donghae Nambu Line, it stretches out toward the sea, allowing you to view the seascape beneath your feet through the transparent glass, and you can also see reefs lined up in the sea in the distance. Gwangalli Beach
Gwangalli Beach is located in a bay in Suyeong District, Busan, and, together with Haeundae Beach to the east, is one of Busan’s most representative seaside beaches. The beach forms a crescent shape, with fine, soft sand stretching for about 1.4 kilometers, while Gwangan Bridge lies across the bay. During the day, the bridge and the deep blue sea create an open, expansive view; after dark, the bridge lights up and reflects on the water, creating a captivating nightscape. The car-chase scenes in the film Black Panther were also filmed around this beach. The area is not only ideal for enjoying views of the sea; in summer, visitors can also take part in activities such as swimming, surfing, and paddleboarding, with numerous surf shops located around the beach. The streets behind the beach are lined with cafés, restaurants, and sashimi restaurants, while on the Millak-dong side there are Millak Waterside Park and a live-fish market. On Saturday evenings, drone shows often light up the sky above the beach, forming different patterns with lights that complement the nightscape of Gwangan Bridge. The annual Busan Fireworks Festival is also held mainly over this bay. Taejongdae
Taejongdae is a cape park famous for its coastal cliff views. The rock formations here were formed during the Cretaceous period and, through long-term wave erosion, have developed unique landforms such as wave-cut platforms, sea cliffs, and coastal caves. The cliff tops are covered with dense pine forests, and the coast and the sea complement each other. On clear days, you can even see the silhouette of Tsushima Island, Japan, from the observation deck. Legend has it that King Muyeol of Silla once enjoyed the scenery and practiced archery here, hence the name, and the park also retains views related to its geological history. The DANUBI sightseeing train operating in the park runs along a circular route with multiple stops, where visitors can get off to explore and then board subsequent trains to continue. Visitors with enough energy can also choose to walk, enjoying the scenery along the forest paths and the coastline. BIFF Square
Many movie fans are familiar with the Busan International Film Festival, which screens films and holds various events in cinemas and specific open-air venues every autumn. Every year, starting in the first week of October, an international film festival is held here for approximately 10 days. Furthermore, the film market formed here, serving as a film festival expo, has garnered widespread attention worldwide. Film Street To expand and develop Korean film culture, establish new cultural and tourist destinations, and strive to become an international cultural and tourist city, thereby boosting public enthusiasm and building a sense of pride, a "Star Street" and "Film Festival Street" have emerged along the approximately 428-meter-long road from the Nampodong Booyoung Theater to the Chungmudong Overpass. From the entrance to the Chungmudong Overpass, the 400-meter-long road features seven cinemas with seven screening rooms and seven or eight theaters, including the Gukdo Theater. When strolling along Movie Street, be sure to look down, as you'll find the handprints of many celebrities right beneath your feet. For example, you can capture the handprints of renowned Chinese directors like Xie Jin and Zhang Yimou, Hou Hsiao-hsien, and Takeshi Kitano. You can also use your camera to capture these handprints. There are also many famous Korean stars, though since many are in Korean, it takes some research to identify them. Food Paradise Don't miss the various food stalls at BIFF Square. These include the sweet pancakes, a favorite among Chinese tourists, as well as spicy rice cakes, gimbap, fish cake skewers, dried squid, taiyaki, and roasted chestnuts. Busan's sea doesn't need filters or extensive planning. Just looking at the lighthouse and listening to the waves is enough to while away the time.

At Haeundae Beach, you can take the Sky Capsule or the Coastal Train. Unfortunately, both were sold out, so you'd have to enjoy the coastal scenery on foot.
- ☕️ Sandy Blue
There are many cafes along the beach, some with long queues. I randomly went into Sandy Blue; there's a window on the second floor facing the lighthouse.

It is a very iconic spot in Busan. A myraid of houses in different colour makes a beautiful view. Grab some drink and snack on the way up the hill. U must to go the flipbook studio. It is good for couples. If you dont have time, dont need to climb to the top and take pic with the little prince. There is nothing special.

Yongdusan Park in Busan is shaded by green trees and has beautiful scenery. On the top of the mountain is the Busan Tower, the landmark of Busan. Climbing Yongdusan and Busan Tower, you can overlook the whole picture of Busan from a high place. The park also has monuments to historical figures.

Busan Station is much more relaxed and open than Seoul Station. If you're a foreigner reserving tickets online can be difficult if you don't have a Korean phone or credit card.Get to the station early; grab some coffee and get some food.
