Value for money tour to Longji Rice Terrace. Left at 8am along with another 5 travellers( MPV sits 8 travellers), and arrived around 10.30am at Ping An village. Walked up to the Nine Dragon & Five Tiger Viewing platform, which gives a great view of the area. Then, it was a lunch break followed by visit to Jin Keng, which had a different vibe. Then a short visit to the Yao Tribe village which had many closed stores ( as it was the winter). And ride back to Guilin arriving by 6.15pm★

I booked a tour of the Longzi Rice Terraces. They contacted me via WeChat a day before to confirm. The tour itself is by minibus, with a stop for lunch and a restroom. First, they show you the Yao village, where a traditional Chinese concert is held. The concert is not included in the price; it's an optional extra, so you can transfer money to the driver if you wish. Then there's lunch. Lunch itself is not included. You're taken to a rather expensive restaurant. Afterwards, we transfer to the cable car and ascend to the rice terrace, where you can explore it on your own for 1.5 hours. The program is fully implemented, and all the scheduled sites were shown. The only downside is probably the price – this tour is generally cheaper at local agencies. The driver only speaks Chinese, so communication is via translators and WeChat. I should say he even explains a little about the area. Be sure to check the weather forecast; the terraces are windy and rainy in winter.★

Highly recommended! There was no shopping cart involved at all. The Longji Rice Terraces were breathtaking. Driver Xiao Wu provided excellent service.
