The best place to visit in Gansu province (in my opinion). The canyon was incredible, you can easily spend there the whole day, we spent there 5 hours (and I would say that was a quick tour) really enjoyed the scenery 🤩 The colourful mountains are also beautiful, but you don't need to spend as much time there, 2h will be more than enough 👌 The driver was really nice and helpful, even though we spent more time in the canyon, than it was originally planned 😅

Yesterday I chose the Danxia tour from Silk Road Travelers, and the experience was excellent. Today I booked their half-day tour of Pingshan Lake, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The driver contacted me in advance and thoughtfully gave me directions to local breakfast spots near my hotel, which was very kind of me. Personally, I felt that the Pingshan Lake Grand Canyon was more interesting and scenic than the Rainbow Mountains, perhaps because the weather yesterday afternoon didn't quite live up to expectations. Overall, I was very satisfied with the trip.
