







[Sule Pagoda]
Sule Pagoda has a history of more than 2,200 years and is located in the center of Yangon. The entire city of Yangon extends around this pagoda as the center. Sule Pagoda is located in the quiet city center. The tower is 46 meters high. The tower body is gilded and the base is octagonal. It is said that it was named after Sule, the patron saint of the Kakusana Bodhisattva era, after a monk returned from India. Inside the tower is a statue of Sule, the patron saint of the sacred mountain where the Shwedagon Pagoda is located.
