It serves as a full-time undergraduate joint education campus with deep integration between China and Russia. The campus revitalizes century-old Russian-style historical buildings from the Chinese Eastern Railway era while constructing modern teaching facilities. It maintains classic Russian architectural styles throughout: warm yellow walls, red roofs, arched doors and windows, carved decorations, and block-style layouts that create picturesque European charm at every turn. Preserving original Russian-style residences and courtyard features alongside modern research buildings, concert halls, and exchange centers, the campus blends century-old historical character with contemporary teaching facilities.
▲ Harbin Institute of Technology Museum: The museum itself is a cultural relic, built in 1906 in the European Art Nouveau style, originally serving as the Russian Consulate General in Harbin. In 1920, the predecessor of Harbin Institute of Technology, the Harbin Sino-Russian Industrial School, was born here. It officially opened on May 18, 2010 (International Museum Day). The venue spans two floors with an exhibition area of over 2,200 square meters, housing more than 4,000 precious cultural relics, historical materials, and models. It is a Class I protected building in Harbin and a century-old historical landmark.
