Along the Ringstrasse, you will find the most important sights of Vienna. For example the impressive State Opera from where you can stroll through the pedestrian zone of the Kärntner Strasse to the famous St. Stephan's Cathedral.
A special highlight is the grand Hofburg Palace which takes you back to imperial times. Visit the residences of former emperors and see the Sisi Museum too. In the Imperial Treasury, you can admire the crown of the Holy Roman Empire and many other precious items.
Also located on the Ringstrasse is the beautiful building of the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna. It is the home of priceless art treasures, such as the world's largest collection of Bruegel paintings. Other highlights on this popular Hop-On Hop-Off tour include the Austrian Parliament, the City Hall and the National Theatre.
Yellow Line: Explore Schönbrunn and Belvedere Palace
This line gets you to Schönbrunn Palace, the most popular tourist attraction in Austria and a World Heritage Site. Take a look at the imperial private apartments, stroll through the palace gardens or take your kids to the nearby zoo.
Another culturally interesting stop on this Hop-On Hop-Off bus tour: Belvedere Palace, the former summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy, in which the world-famous painting "The Kiss" by Gustav Klimt is exhibited.
*The Schwarzenbergplatz stop takes you to some of the stops on the “Viennese Waltz” self-guided tour.
Blue Line: Explore along the Danube
This line leads you among other things to the Danube Tower and Kunst Haus Wien, home of the Hundertwasser Museum. It houses a permanent exhibition of the surrealistic works of the artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
A visit to the Prater is a must during a stay in Vienna. Stroll through this big leisure park with 250 attractions. There you will find one of the city's landmarks, the Giant Ferris Wheel. Also on the Blue Line, you will see the 252 metres high Danube Tower. Its observation deck and restaurant, which slowly rotate 360°, provide you with an unforgettable view of Vienna. At the nearby Old Danube, you can have a picnic or take a romantic boat ride during summertime.
