The Site Archéologique de Volubilis is located approx. 30 km north of Meknes. Here, you can find well-preserved triumphal arches and white stone columns of the theater. Since its discovery in 1874, archaeologists have been excavating and studying the site to this day. The ancient city's streets, residential houses, oil mills, public baths, markets, and more remain clearly visible. There are also numerous mosaic murals. From the ruins, a large number of exquisitely crafted bronze statues and marble heads have been unearthed.
It was inscribed on the world heritage list in 1997.
