Itinerary
Half-day sightseeing tour from Queenstown to Aoraki / Mount Cook, deep into the Southern Alps.
Depart from Queenstown on a luxury bus and enjoy the commentary from a local driver guide as you travel north. Cross the rugged Kawarau River Gorge with its historic gold mining areas and the famous orchards of Cromwell. Along the shores of Lake Dunstan, your itinerary will take you through the Lindis Pass to Omarama for morning tea (at your own expense).
Continue through the rugged highland scenery of Mackenzie Basin to reach Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park, home to Australasia's highest peak at 3,724 m. Enjoy a delicious optional lunch at The Hermitage Hotel in Mount Cook Village, where you can admire unobstructed views of Mount Cook and other peaks of the Southern Alps. You may also choose to take a scenic flight at your own expense for an aerial perspective of this alpine region.

Depart from Mount Cook Village on a luxury bus and enjoy the commentary from a local driver guide as you travel south through the tussock grasslands and highland views of Mackenzie Country.
Stop for afternoon tea in Omarama (at your own expense), then continue to the Cromwell area, famous for its orchards. Cross the Lindis Pass, drive along the shores of Lake Dunstan, and then travel through the Kawarau Gorge with its famous gold mining history.
Arrive in Queenstown in the evening.
