The characteristic of Kamikōchi is its walkability. Although there are some gentle ups and downs, the mostly flat trails make it perfect for enjoying a leisurely mini-hike.

●Elevation difference: Less than 100m, mostly flat

※Since Kamikōchi is located at a high altitude of 1,500 meters, temperatures can be about 10-12 degrees lower compared to metropolitan areas. Please prepare warm clothing such as jackets.

Additionally, as it is a mountainous area, the weather can change quickly. Please bring rain gear when going on mini hikes.

Please wear comfortable, well-worn shoes and clothing suitable for walking on unpaved mountain trails.
