Baofeng Lake Scenic Area: Located in the eastern part of Wulingyuan District, Zhangjiajie City, Hunan Province, Baofeng Lake Scenic Area is one of China's first 5A-level scenic spots, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, and a Global Geopark, renowned as the "Classic of World Lakes." The scenic area consists of Baofeng Lake and Yingwozhai Village, covering 4100 acres with a lake surface of 30 hectares, an average depth of 72 meters, and a length of 2.5 kilometers. Baofeng Lake is a rare high-altitude flat lake surrounded by verdant mountains and shimmering emerald waters, celebrated for its picturesque lake scenery and serene cave landscapes, making it the quintessential water feature of Wulingyuan. The Korean drama "Nine Heaven Cave" was also filmed here.
Baofeng Waterfall: Baofeng Waterfall is the iconic attraction of Baofeng Lake, located halfway up the mountain opposite the entrance of the Baofeng Lake scenic area. With a height of over 60 meters, this waterfall is a harmonious blend of natural and artificial elements. It served as the filming location for the Water Curtain Cave scenes in the TV series "Journey to the West" and was also the venue for the 2001 Zhangjiajie International Forest Conservation Festival.
Eagle's Nest Fortress: Located on a sheer cliff southwest of Baofeng Lake, Eagle's Nest Fortress was once a notorious bandit stronghold and served as a filming location for the TV series "The Bandit Suppression in Wulong Mountain." After entering the park, climb several hundred stone steps westward. The towering rock peaks above feature hairline cracks, while the entrance boasts ancient city gates with crenellated battlements. At the summit stands the historic Baofeng Temple, where incense burns perpetually. A stone path winds up the cliff to the peak, offering panoramic views of the spectacular mountain scenery and a bird's-eye perspective of the modern tourist city below.
Fairy Mirroring: Fairy Mirroring is a scenic spot in Baofeng Lake. On the lakeshore stands an elegant and graceful stone peak. When viewed from 2 meters above the lake surface, its flat section resembles the left profile of a beautiful woman, as if she were grooming herself while gazing into the lake's mirror-like surface. The upper part resembles her elegantly coiled hair bun, creating a vivid and romantic imagery.
Grand Canyon Glass Bridge (Yuntiandu): The core attraction of Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, this world's first large-scale valley suspension glass bridge features a fully transparent glass deck spanning both sides of the canyon. Combining transportation, sightseeing, and extreme challenge functions, it offers panoramic views of the entire canyon.
Grand Canyon Glass Walkway: A high-altitude viewing walkway within Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Scenic Area, echoing the style of the Glass Bridge. Built along the canyon cliffs with transparent glass materials, it offers close-up views of canyon rock walls and streams, providing an exhilarating aerial sightseeing experience.
