Reviews: 1-day tour of the Vertical Ship Lift of the Three Gorges + Three Gorges Dam [Cross the Three Gorges Dam aboard a luxury cruise ship]

The tour concierge contacted me very quickly after I placed the order and kept following up, which was great 👍🏻. The tour guide also contacted me the night before. However, some other passengers were quite late, some by more than 10 minutes. These latecomers were only focused on taking photos the whole way, ignoring the tour guide's instructions to leave and making us wait, which disrupted the subsequent schedule. We were rushing around the whole time, not even having time to use the restroom. The tour guide was in a rush, worried about missing the ship. This affected us punctual passengers. There was some commentary during the bus ride and another on-site explanation, but it was limited to the Three Gorges Dam. The tour guide didn't mention waiting for everyone to arrive before explaining, instead talking on his own. After boarding the ship, the tour guide stopped explaining and went to do a live stream. We were completely confused about the ship lift, not understanding its principles. Although there were announcements on the ship, they only mentioned preparing to descend, without much explanation. Overall, the experience was just average. Finally, we took the 2 PM ship lift, which descends from upstream to downstream, but it wasn't very impressive; we didn't feel any real awe. I imagine the experience would be better if you went up there.
