▲ Located in Bali, the Shihsanhang Museum of Archaeology is Taiwan's first archaeological museum. It was originally built to protect the Shihsanhang Site, a National Second-Class Historic Site. In 1955, an Air Force plane flying over Bali detected abnormal magnetic reactions on its compass, leading to the discovery of the Shihsanhang Site. Subsequently, geologists and archaeologists conducted surveys, confirming it as a prehistoric site and establishing this archaeological museum.
