Notes for visiting Mount Emei:
️1. Climate and outfits
The mountainous area has distinct vertical climate zones with significant temperature variations!
Summer: Bring a light jacket for cool mornings and evenings;
Winter (Dec–Feb): Snowy conditions, requiring non-slip shoes and a down jacket.
The summit often experiences strong winds, so we recommend bringing a windproof hat.
️2. Itinerary planning
Play efficiently, prepare in advance:
Take the sightseeing bus/cable car (Golden Summit): First, check operating hours (usually 8:00 AM–6:00 PM; hours may be shorter in winter).
For those with limited stamina: Prioritize visiting the core attractions to avoid fatigue from trying to see too much.
3. Other reminders
Ensuring a comfortable journey through the details:
Cultural respect: Do not make noise or take photos without permission when entering temples.
Weather tips: Bring portable rain gear as mountain areas often have showers.
Altitude sickness prevention: Golden Summit is 3,077m above sea level. A few people may experience mild altitude sickness, so avoid strenuous exercise.
