Blue Grotto

Blue Grotto is a sea cave on the northwest coast of Capri and an iconic local landmark. The magic of this cave lies in its unique visual effects. The entrance is low and narrow, allowing only small wooden boats to enter and exit when the sea is calm. Sunlight enters through an underwater opening below the entrance, and blue light diffuses upward through the water, illuminating the entire cave chamber in a deep blue. The seawater inside the cave is a transparent gem-like blue, and objects submerged in the water take on a silvery glow, showcasing a magical charm of light and shadow. Taking a boat into the cave is a unique experience: at the entrance, visitors transfer to small wooden boats rowed by local boatmen and lie down in the bottom of the boat. The boatman uses fixed facilities on the rock wall to guide the boat into the cave. Along the way, you can experience the unique blend of cave echoes and water colors, offering visitors a profound visual and sensory experience.Anacapri · 1.6km from Capri Town

Sorrento is located near the Bay of Naples, with the entire town built atop seaside cliffs. The famous Italian song "Come Back to Sorrento" sings of this very town. The song has been sung for a century and has become a unique cultural symbol of Sorrento. The 16th-century poet Tasso was also born here, and the town square is named after him. The town is surrounded by lemon groves and olive trees, and Limoncello, a lemon liqueur made from local lemons, is a signature specialty of Sorrento. Piazza Torquato Tasso is the central starting point for sightseeing. Next to the square is the Valley of the Mills, a deep gorge embedded in the heart of the city, where abandoned old mills remain at the bottom, overgrown with vegetation. The Cloister of San Francesco was built in the 14th century, with arches and columns arranged in an interlaced pattern along the cloister. Museo Correale houses medieval sculptures, paintings, and local decorative arts, while the Museum of Wood Inlay is dedicated to showcasing the wood inlay craftsmanship that has continued in Sorrento for hundreds of years. Looking out from the edge of the cliffs, you can see the silhouette of Mount Vesuvius and Capri. The streets and alleys of the old town are winding, and the Marina Grande fishing village on the coast retains a rustic atmosphere, with colorful houses arranged along the harbor.Sorrento · 15.4km from Capri Town

The Augustine Garden, formerly known as the "Krupp Garden", is named after the German industrialist Friedrich Alfred Krupp. This garden, which was built in the early 20th century, was renamed the Augustine Garden in 1918 and has been in use today. The Augustinian Garden was designed as a terrace overlooking the sea, and it is indeed a good place to watch the Mediterranean Sea and Cap Island. From the garden, you can see a 180-degree view of Cap Island, including the famous landmark of Cap Island, Faraglinoi , you can also enjoy the beautiful picture of Faraglioni Beach and Piccola Bay with the Mediterranean Sea as the background.Capri Town · 1.9km from downtown

Positano

7.6
Positano is a cliffside town on the Amalfi Coast in southern Italy. The entire town faces the sea, built into the mountainside, with colorful houses cascading from the cliff top down to the seaside. This "vertical" town layout is its distinctive feature. There are few roads in the town; instead, there are winding stone steps and narrow alleys, dotted with handicraft shops, galleries, and lemon-themed boutiques along the way. The town's landmark is the Church of Santa Maria Assunta, whose iconic colorful dome often appears in classic images of Positano. The terrace in front of the church offers a panoramic view of the pier and the Mediterranean Sea. Walking down from the church to the seaside, you will find the main beach, Positano Spiaggia. This crescent-shaped beach connects the colorful buildings on the cliff with the blue sea. Alternatively, you can follow the coastal path to the slightly more distant Fornillo Beach, which is quieter.Positano · 23.6km from Capri Town

illadei Misteri, which is one of the intact buildings in Pompeii. Walk in and take a look. On the wall of the large dining room is a huge mural "Dionysiac Frieze", which describes the ceremony of worshipping the god of wine by a girl who was about to get married at that time. There is a Vesuvius Museum (Museo Vesuviano) in the southeast outside the ancient city ruins. On ViaColleSanBartolomeo Street, you can visit for free and see many interesting unearthed cultural relics. It is open Monday-Friday 9:00-13:00.Pompei · 31.5km from Capri Town

Mount Solaro is located on Cap Island, with an altitude of 589 meters, and is the highest peak on Cap Island. There are bunkers built for the Anglo-French War in the 19th century on the mountain, as well as a statue of Emperor Augustine, the man who landed on Cap Island. This limestone peak is home to more than 900 species of plants including bayberry, myrtle, holly, and fragrant trees. Many birds also visit frequently, including peregrine falcons. It is not difficult to climb Mount Solaro, either from passetiello or from AxelMunthe. Standing on the top of Mount Solaro, you can see the bays of Naples and Saleri, and there is a panoramic view of Procida Island.Metropolitan City of Naples · 917m from Capri Town

Amalfi Coast is a stretch of coastline on the southern side of the Sorrento Peninsula in the province of Salerno, southern Italy. It extends from Positano in the west to Vietri sul Mare in the east, with over a dozen coastal towns built into the cliffs along the way. Steep cliffs, terraced hillsides, and the deep blue Tyrrhenian Sea form the core scenery here. The terraces are planted with lemon trees, grapevines, and olive trees, presenting a typical Mediterranean coastal landscape. The representative towns along the coast each have their own unique characteristics. Positano is famous for its cascading colorful houses and steep stone steps, with buildings clinging to the hillside from the beach upwards; the town of Amalfi was once the center of a medieval maritime republic, and it is filled with narrow alleys and staircases, where the facade of theCathedral of St. Andrew, blending Arab and Norman styles, is a landmark of the town; Ravello sits high on a ridge, and the gardens of Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone offer views overlooking the entire coastline, among which the "Terrace of Infinity" at Villa Cimbrone is a viewing spot for a panoramic view of the coast. Vietri sul Mare is known for its traditional handmade ceramics, and colorful pottery shops can be seen everywhere in the town. The "Path of the Gods" from Agerola to Positano is a classic hiking route. It follows the ridge, offering high-altitude views of the coastline and the full panorama of the towns along the way. The region is famous for a slender variety of Amalfi lemon, and the local limoncello made from it is also a specialty. The coastal road is winding and narrow, prone to traffic jams in summer, and ferries are also available for travel between the towns.Amalfi · 33.4km from Capri Town

peaceful and calm island. and very expensive, just keep it in mind when you planning to visit if you not limited in budget stay here for two nights and enjoy amazing food and ambiance. Everything is very close, you have so many chances to meet celebrities, politicians in cafes or restaurants.but if you are not ready to pay 2000€ for one night in hotel, you could visit the island just with day trip by boat

Capri Island has the Blue Grotto, which is known as one of the seven wonders of the world. The Blue Grotto is a limestone terrain and a sea cave. The entrance is under the cliff and is very small. The height above the sea surface is only 85 cm, so you can only enter by swimming or taking a boat on a calm sunny day. The Blue Grotto is called the "Blue Grotto" because the sunlight shines into the spacious cave from the narrow entrance, and is reflected by the blue water in the cave, making the entire sea cave appear a beautiful crystal blue.
