Tsitsikamma National Park is located in the Eastern Cape of South Africa and is part of the Garden Route National Park. The park stretches along the coast, and its marine protected area covers dozens of km of pristine coastline. The landscape here is diverse—indigenous forests spread along river valleys, cliffs plunge into the sea, mountain fynbos and coastal wilderness intermingle, and rivers rush from the inland to the sea, carving out deep canyon views. Storms River Mouth is the core area of the park. A suspension bridge spans the mouth, and walking on it offers a spectacular view of the river water meeting the ocean waves. Inside the park, there is a hiking trail stretching approx. 40+ km from Storms River to Nature's Valley, passing through beaches, cliffs, wilderness, and indigenous forests, offering panoramic views of the coastline along the way.South Africa · Western District

The Garden Routeis a highly iconic scenic route, stretching from Mossel Bay in the west to the Storms River area of Tsitsikamma in the east, with a total length of about 300 km. The route features a mild climate and abundant rainfall, with mountains and the coast remaining lush and green all year round. Forests, lagoons, lakes, estuaries, and beaches are interspersed throughout, creating distinct natural scenery. Most of the roads at this attraction run parallel to the coastline. While driving, you can see golden beaches, rugged cliffs, and dense forests along the coast on one side, and the mountainous backdrop formed by the Outeniqua and Tsitsikamma mountains on the other. As the road continues forward, the mountain and sea views constantly change, making it especially suitable for parking at any time during a self-drive trip to enjoy the natural scenery. The natural scenery facilities along the route mainly consist of forest trails, coastal exploration routes, and viewing areas.South Africa · Plettenberg Bay

Storms River bridge spans the mouth of the Storms River in the Tsitsikamma region along the Garden Route in South Africa and is a popular pedestrian suspension bridge within the Tsitsikamma section of the Garden Route National Park. The river water, stained reddish-brown by forest tannins, emerges from the deep gorge and collides head-on with the waves of the Indian Ocean here, with the suspension bridge hanging just approx. 7m above the churning water. Walking on the bridge, the structure sways slightly with your steps, with the roar of waves crashing against the reefs beneath your feet and steep cliffs covered in primeval forest on both sides. Tall yellowwood trees, wild figs, and various ferns grow on both sides of the walkway, and you might catch a glimpse of the brightly colored Knysna turaco. African black oystercatchers and Cape cormorants are commonly seen on the coastal reefs, dolphins sometimes appear in the nearshore waters, and during whale-watching season, you may even spot southern right whales passing near the shore.South Africa · Western District

Bloukrans Bridge is a concrete arch bridge spanning the Bloukrans River valley, with the river below forming the boundary between the Western Cape and the Eastern Cape. Built in the early 1980s, the bridge deck is approx. 216m above the valley floor, with a main span of approx. 272m. The grayish-white bridge spans the ocher-red cliffs, with lush forests at the bottom of the valley. Since 1997, the bridge has hosted bungee jumping activities. Before jumping, you need to walk along the suspended walkway under the bridge to the platform in the center of the gorge. After leaping, you will experience a free fall before swinging in the gorge. In addition to bungee jumping, you can also experience the suspended walkway to watch the bungee jumping process up close from under the bridge, or try the zip-line across the gorge. There are viewing spots on the side of the bridge where you can see the complete arch bridge structure as well as the views of the valley, forest, and distant mountains below. Even if you do not participate in activities like bungee jumping, you can still enjoy the view of the bridge and the surrounding valley from the walkway and viewing spots.South Africa · Greater Plettenberg Bay

The Storms River Suspension Bridge is the most famous attraction in Tsitsikamma National Park. There is a long suspension bridge between two cliffs at the mouth of the Storms River. Walking on the bridge is very shaky, although it is a bit scary, but the scenery is very magnificent. You must spend money to challenge yourself.

The park is very large and beautiful. The weather was very good when we arrived, with blue sky and white clouds. It was just a little bit sunny, but the beautiful scenery was still very unforgettable. It is a very relaxing place.
