Carolus Thermen is divided into two main functional areas. The public thermal bath area features multiple indoor and outdoor pools and a series of thermal pools, with water sourced from the Rosenspring in the city center. The main bath area features a magnificent glass roof supported by 18 pillars, which is bright and airy during the day and creates a dreamlike atmosphere with lighting at night. The pools also feature various facilities, including a wave pool, massage jets, whirlpools, and a water grotto with alternating hot and cold temperatures. The sauna area offers a variety of themed saunas with different temperature and humidity combinations, as well as a spacious sauna garden modeled after the Baltic Sea coast, surrounding a scenic lake.
