Palau Macaya Review

El Palau Macaya es de estilo modernista, aunque tiene claras influencias del gótico civil. El edificio destaca por el contraste entre la sencillez del blanco de la fachada y la profusa ornamentación de piedra de las ventanas, obra de los colaboradores habituales de Puig i Cadafalch, Eusebi Arnau y Alfons Juyol.

Across the road from the German Pavilion is the Art Center of the Kaysha Foundation. Like the Makaya House, it is also a modern art exhibition hall owned by the Kaysha Consortium, with free admission.

Detailed decoration is very delicate, such as shallow relief on the wall and fine sculpture on the balcony. The staircase roof of the atrium has a smooth curve and a graceful medieval style.
