Xu Zhimo (January 15, 1897 November 19, 1931), formerly named Zhang Yu, Zi Yusen, changed his name to Zhimo when studying in the United States. The pseudonyms that have been used include Nanhu, Poetry Zhe, Haigu, Valley, etc. Haining, Zhejiang, Shishiren. Modern poets, essayists, Crescent poets, Crescent Poetry Society members. Xu Zhimo's former residence in Haining Xiashi Town is actually two places, one is an old house and one is a new house. The original four-way Ming and Qing ancient building at No. 17 Xianhe, Xiashi Street, Haining City has become a broken wall. The new house we saw is located in the middle of Ganhe Street, Panshi Street. It is a small western-style western-style building built by his father in 1926 for Xu Zhimo and Lu Xiaoman. There are more than 20 rooms with hot and cold water pipes, lights, bathrooms and other equipment. This is undoubtedly a stunning mansion in rural China in the 1920s. Xu Zhimo loved the house and called it a "fragrant nest", and the interior decoration and living room layout were said to be by Xu Zhimo's own hands. Xu Lu and the two of them moved into their new residence and spent a short time, but they were "too strong" for a sweet life. Xu Zhimo wrote his honeymoon diary "Mei Wei Weiyu", completed the novel "Jiade", and compiled the second issue of "Poetry Magazine". The new house was still living with Xu's parents, and his ex-wife, later as his father Xu Shenru's stepdaughter Zhang Youyi, also lived in the new house.
