方广寺。本是五百罗汉的道场，正在修缮，寺内藏五百罗汉像，小而精致，工艺水准大概仅次于苏州西园戒幢律寺和天台国清寺的大尊群雕。因在重修期间，寺内颇杂乱，无其他胜景。下图拍于继续向山上攀登时，回头一望，东北角上一株高耸的枫树正得娇艳异常。

方广寺所在的位置是一个风水宝地，建在衡山的莲花峰下面，正是所谓的古来名山僧占多，寺庙从门口往外望去，远处的山峰清晰可见，通往寺庙的路树林繁密，路旁的溪水不断，除了杉树以外，还有枫树，偶然有些竹林，树林里面负离子超级丰富。最喜欢的还是这里的清幽，适合静心参佛。

在衡山莲花峰下，方广寺车子可以开到门口，周围山林密布环绕，有深山藏古寺的感觉，非常幽静多，泉石、枫树和杉树，深林密竹，风景极美。但如果是步行神马滴，不是很方便。这里是南岳之“一绝”。有句话叫南岳“不游方广，不知南岳之深”
