ESSAOUIRA, Sovilla, a coastal city of just 70,000 people on the Atlantic coast of southwestern Morocco, means "pictured" in Arabic. This is a place full of historical vicissitudes, 5,000 years, has been ruled by the Berbers, Phoenicians and Romans, occupied by the Portuguese, and finally colonized by the French, and now the old wheat field, this small city that combines European and African architectural styles, White and blue are themes that always remain. White houses and blue doors and windows, whitewashed or mottled, noisy markets in miscellaneous alleys, colorful handicrafts sold on the streets, people of all skin colors and nationalities in the square quietly drinking coffee, here, there is an inexplicable sense of historical integration. Of course, I believe that for everyone who comes here, the most impressive and favorite should be the beach that is close to 10 kilometers long, the starting point of the port is small, but as long as you go a long way, you will suddenly open up, and the beach will immediately become wide and magnificent. In the morning, on the rooftop of RYAD, I quietly looked at the white seagulls swaying over the city, full of a rich Moroccan breakfast, so it started the day, really good! BONJOUR, ESSAOUIRA!
