This was a wonderful meal from start to finish! The Bergerac white wine paired perfectly with our dishes. Our starters, foie gras for me and sweetbreads in an amazing mushroom casserole for my husband, were delicious. We both had the sea bass for the main course and it too was delicious. The desserts were beautifully presented and tasty, but we couldn’t finish them after all the great food that came before. Excellent, attentive service. No rushing. A beautiful evening! Mercí beaucoups!

Had a late dinner on the riverside terrace. The sunset view was stunning, really set a nice mood. Their house red was surprisingly good with the grilled fish. A bit pricey, but you're paying for the location.

Food is great, but last night they were not paying attention. At first they couldn’t find my reservation. They forgot my coke and I had to ask a second time. No biggie. Then they forgot the mozzarella on my pizza. I had to send it back to get it. Then my husband and I got dessert, a waffle to split, and they forgot the crème chantilly. They made no attempt to make this right. Which is disappointing because their food is excellent and in 4 years of being a loyal customer this was my first bad experience. But when you repeatedly mess up, you should try to be commerçant.

The steak was cooked exactly as requested. Service was prompt and efficient. Prices are fair for the location. Good for a business lunch.

Le Moulin du Roc is in an idyllic position on a pretty river. We were entertained by dancing damsel flies, the ones Rossetti describes as ‘like a blue thread loosened from the sky’, and a passing kingfisher zooming up and down. The service is professional and friendly; our waitress who did an impeccable job also advised me on how to germinate acer seeds! As for the food, it is classic French haute cuisine with imaginative details; strawberries with pea mousse, and savoury sorbets, for example. Everything delicious and attractively presented. Can’t wait till the next time.

The service here is always so consistent, which is rare. They're genuinely attentive without being overbearing. And the bread basket is a real highlight - warm, crusty, and they keep it coming.

Cozy spot, loved the modern decor. The wine list had some interesting local finds. Paired a light red with the pasta, worked nicely. A bit on the quieter side for a Friday, but that suited me.

Comfy chairs in a modern space. Perfect for a quick bite. Got the chicken sandwich, came out fast. Good for a lunch break.

Really appreciated the variety of vegetarian dishes here. The roasted vegetable tart was lovely. It's nice to find a place where everyone at the table can easily find something they like.

Convenient spot for a quick work lunch. Pizzas are solid, good portion sizes. Service can be a bit slow during the noon rush, but the food arrives hot.

A bit of a walk to find it, but that terrace... wow. Just a few tables under the trees, felt like a secret garden. The light was perfect as the sun went down. Made the whole evening.

Lunch here was a treat! The omelette was just right, fluffy and full of flavor. The staff was so attentive even when the place got packed. A real find!

Menu's got a solid range. The desserts really stood out. Service was friendly as always. Had a glass of Sauternes with the chocolate tart - a spot-on pairing.

Super! I've been to many French restaurants, but the duck confit here was something else. The skin was perfectly crispy, and the meat just fell off the bone. A bit on the pricier side, but for that quality, it's understandable.

Stumbled in off the highway. The roast chicken was the thing—skin was crisp, really crisp, and the jus underneath had a proper depth to it. Just a good, straightforward plate.

Lovely spot. Their organic and vegan options are so fresh, you can really taste the quality ingredients. A peaceful meal even in winter.

The food was truly delicious, and the service was friendly. I especially appreciated how comfortable the seats were—it made the whole meal so much more relaxing. A very nice spot for a quiet dinner.

A nice spot for a quiet dinner. The atmosphere is calm and refined. The welcome was warm, and the flavors in the dishes were varied and quite good. A solid choice for a date night.

The lamb shank was the standout. Slow-cooked until it fell apart, with a rich red wine sauce that had depth. The price was fair for the portion. That's what I came for.

The place was packed but they still squeezed us in. Staff were really nice about it even though they were clearly running around.

The Welsh Royal is a solid choice for two. It's a big plate, definitely filling. Price is fair for what you get.

The service was friendly and attentive, and the decor was very pretty, enhancing the overall dining experience.

The staff here are so friendly and quick. I barely had to wait for anything, and they were genuinely nice. Made the whole dinner feel really relaxed.

The goats cheese salad was so fresh, and the burger patty was just right. Staff were really kind even though the place was packed.

Stopped by for brunch. The table was already set, which was nice. I really appreciated the freshness of the ingredients in my avocado toast. The eggs tasted so farm-fresh.

Came in with a group of eight, got the three-course set menu. Solid value. The host was really friendly and explained things well, made it easy for everyone. Food looked nice too.

Been coming here for years. The duck confit is always spot on, just falls off the bone. The square is nice to sit out on in the evening. A solid local spot.

Always reliable. We’ll established and well run café conveniently located in central La Rochefoucauld. A regular visit for us. Advise you to book on Thursday and Friday!

The service here was so fun! Our waiter joked with us about the menu and made great suggestions. It felt like hanging out with a friend who happens to know all the best dishes.
