The Plough

The beer garden is a real sun-trap, perfect for a pint. Had a lovely local pale ale that went down a treat with the view. Bar's got a decent range, but the garden is the main draw on a day like that.

The steak and ale pie was a proper hearty portion, really hit the spot. The pastry was lovely and flaky. The whole place just has that warm, cosy pub feel, which is exactly what you want on a damp evening.

The Teesside Parmo is always a solid choice. The bar staff are quick and friendly, which makes the whole experience feel relaxed. It's a nice, straightforward meal out.
