Wentongji, a time-honored restaurant in Singapore, recommended by Michelin in 2018. The four of us foodies took a taxi from the hotel to Wentongji for our first meal in Singapore. A restaurant that opens until 4:30 in the morning is meant for foodies. The waiter said that you girls are only in your twenties, hahahaha, happy😃 We were hungry and ordered the signature Hainanese chicken + chicken oil rice, cereal shrimp, stuffed tofu, barbecued pork, barley water + water chestnut water, all of which were delicious without any minefields. The chicken oil rice looked so ordinary that I didn't even take a photo, but it is definitely one of the top three Hainanese chicken rices I have ever eaten! After eating, each of us took a bottle of their secret soy sauce, which is also great with white-cut cold dishes when we go back to Shanghai. The cost of the dish was only 90RMB per person, happy😄 On the way back to the hotel, the taxi driver said that this is a restaurant that only locals go to, and you guys will also eat it~~~

Wen Tong Ji is a Singaporean food restaurant. It has the very famous Hainanese chicken rice, and the drinks here are also super delicious. The rice is especially chewy and delicious, and the chicken is especially tender.

This is a restaurant recommended by the Singapore Tourism Board. The main dish is Hainanese chicken rice. The chicken is very smooth and the rice is very interesting. It is made into a pyramid shape, which is a good gimmick. The barley water inside tastes good too. The price is not expensive and the waiter's attitude is average.

The branch I went to eat at was near my friend's house. I didn't need to wait for a table if I went there at noon on weekends. The big shrimp was fried with butter, salted egg yolk and oatmeal, which was very crispy. The shrimp was as big as a palm. The aunt in the store was very knowledgeable and even guided us to pick up the big shrimp and take pictures kkk. It is inevitable that the meat of the big shrimp is not alive, but I have to give it 100 points for this taste. Boiled chicken is also a must-order for every table. I have eaten a lot of Hainan chicken since I came to Singapore. The meat of this one is very tender and the chicken skin is thin. I personally prefer the golden skin jelly texture of Kampung Shan Chicken Restaurant. I also ordered a chicken oil rice specifically. I think it has a stronger ginger flavor than other restaurants. The crispy fried tofu is served with a very special sauce, a green salad sauce, and the fried coating is thicker and more solid. The soup base of Golden and Silver Egg Amaranth is very fresh, with salted egg, preserved egg and egg drop. The fried garlic adds a lot of flavor to the soup. I prefer to eat the amaranth in it, haha.

Wentongji in Singapore is a time-honored Hainanese chicken restaurant. The chicken tastes good, and the plum juice here is very delicious, sour and sweet and very appetizing. The only drawback is that the price is really not cheap. A meal of Hainanese chicken for two people cost more than RMB 300, which is not very cost-effective.
