Thomas the bartender really knows his stuff. Suggested a fantastic local red to go with the steak - it was spot on. Made the whole evening. Staff were genuinely friendly, not just doing a job.

We visited here for Sunday lunch, the carvery was excellent with great choices of meat, which included lamb, Turkey, gammon and beef, all cooked to perfection. Great selection of vegetables, roast potatoes and the best pork crackling I’ve tasted for a a while. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would certainly visit here again.

Got the Trader Sexy Wedges, they're as good as everyone says. Hot, generous portion. Staff were really nice even though we called last minute on a Friday.

Love the classic pub feel here. It can get a bit loud when it's packed, but that's just the vibe. The courtyard out back is a lovely spot to settle in. Found it very comfortable for a relaxed meal.

Such a great spot for a group dinner! The owner was so lovely - he made a custom curry for my friend who has allergies, even though it wasn't on the menu. Really made our night feel special. The food was top notch.

Loved sitting on the deck, watching the river flow by with the castle in the background. Such a nice spot.

Stumbled upon this place on a drive through west Wales. The fish pie was spot on, creamy and packed with salmon. Staff were really friendly, made you feel welcome. A proper find.

Rivka was great. Super patient helping us put together the Christmas hampers. Got everything just right.

Been here a few times. The food's got that Mediterranean vibe but they use local stuff, which I like. It's a small spot, feels like a gallery with the art up. Sometimes they have a guy playing guitar in the corner. Nice for a quiet bite.

A lovely spot for a quiet lunch. The staff were really helpful when I asked about the ingredients in the salad. They knew exactly what was in the dressing, which I appreciated. The greens were so fresh and crisp. The log fire was a nice touch on a chilly day.

We pop in for breakfast whenever we're in town. The fried bread is honestly the best – so light and crisp. The staff are always so welcoming, which makes the whole visit feel really easy and relaxed. A lovely spot.

Great spot for a casual bite. The fish and chips were spot on - crispy batter, flaky cod, proper chips. My other half's prawn sandwich looked good too. Staff were friendly, and they're very welcoming to dogs.

The gluten-free fish and chips were spot on. Really good batter and the fish was lovely and flaky.

The vegan pasty was a nice surprise! Flaky pastry, and the filling had a good mix of textures. They had a few other dairy-free options too, which was handy.

The lamb shank was fall-off-the-bone tender, braised in a rich red wine sauce with rosemary. The meat just melted, and the sauce had a deep, savoury flavour. A bit on the pricey side, but the portion was generous. Honestly, that's all I really care about.

The pizza was really good, and the price felt fair. The staff were lovely, which made the visit nice. A solid choice for a satisfying meal.

Perfect spot for a quick lunch. Got the Welsh beef lasagne, came out fast. Sat in the beer garden, the sea view is a nice bonus. Food was solid, no complaints. Good for a quick bite when you're in the area.

The full English was spot on, and the buffet had loads of options. Best part? My plate was still steaming when I sat down. 😊

The mussels were a huge portion, perfect for sharing. I really appreciated how fresh the mussels tasted, and the bread was a nice touch for dipping. Vanessa was lovely and checked in just the right amount.

Nice little spot. The food's solid - had the eggs benedict, hollandaise was spot on. Coffee's good too. It is a bit snug, but that's fine for a quick bite.

The curry night is a solid option. Massaman was particularly good - rich flavour, tender beef. Portions are decent for the price. Service was efficient, no fuss. Would consider for a straightforward weeknight dinner.

Massive portions, especially the seafood platter. Got my 24oz rump and was out the door in 45 mins. Perfect for a quick, filling lunch.

The steak and ale pie was spot on - rich, flaky pastry and tender meat. The peri peri chicken kebab was a nice, lighter choice for a warm day. Easy walk from the beach, which was handy.

The last-minute wedding reception was flawless, and the food was incredible.

The John Dory on the specials menu was the standout. Fish is incredibly fresh, locally caught. That one was cooked just right, skin crisp, flesh flaky. The rest of the specials looked good too.

Been here a few times, always for the view. Sat outside last night, right on the beach watching the bay. It's the main reason to come, really. Food's fine, but you're paying for that location.

Had a group lunch here, 7 of us with gluten-free needs. They handled it no problem. Went for the set menu, easy to share. Flavours were clean and clear. Quick and efficient for a big table.

The coffee is really good, and I love that they always give you a little cookie with it. Nice to see gluten-free and veggie options on the menu too.

Midweek carvery deal is a steal. Huge portions, especially the roast beef. Fills you up without emptying the wallet. Solid choice for a quick, filling meal.

Popped in for a pre-match meal before the rugby. It was packed, buzzing with a good crowd. The steak was cooked just right, but the chips were a bit lukewarm. Still, a solid spot for the location.
