The early bird menu is a solid shout - prawn linguine was spot on, goat cheese starter lovely too. €23 for two courses, can't complain.

The prawn starter was honestly the best part — really tasty. The bolognese and prawn pasta though, a bit dry and salty for me. Cocktails were spot on though. Mixed feelings about the place, but I'd go back just for the drinks and that starter.

Took the ferry over and grabbed the steak — cooked properly, no complaints. Lamb was decent too. Handy spot if you're already on the island. Prices are a bit steep for what you get, but fine for a one-off.

Lovely spot, quick lunch before heading off. Staff were sound and the place has a nice buzz. Good for a bite if you're nearby.

Stopped in for the carvery lunch and honestly it hit the spot. Big portions, decent price for what you get. Place has that proper Irish feel to it, nothing fancy but comfortable. Handy if you're in a group too, they've got the space for it. Wouldn't mind going back if I'm in the area again.

Came back two nights in a row, which says a lot. The wine list is decent for a spot this size, and the bar staff actually know how to pour a proper glass. Food was solid, nothing fancy, but it hit the spot. Got there before 7 and it was quiet enough to actually talk. Music's not blasting either, which is rare. Stayed way longer than I meant to.

The steak was cooked well and the pasta had good flavour. Handy spot if you're staying at the hotel, but I'd come back just for the food. 🥩

The steak was cooked properly and looked lovely on the plate. Staff were friendly enough, made us feel looked after without hovering. Place has a nice warm buzz to it. Slightly on the pricey side, but you can see where the money goes. Comfortable seating too, which always helps. Wouldn't mind coming back here again sometime.

The gluten-free pancakes were lovely, really nice to find somewhere that does them properly. Staff were sound and didn't make me feel awkward about asking questions. Will be back.

Stopped in for a drink, ended up staying for food. Everything we ordered was tasty, staff were genuinely friendly. No complaints really.

Food was lovely and the place looks great — nice lighting, nice vibe. Staff were sound. Only thing, portions are a bit small for what you pay. Would’ve loved a glass of something bold to match the mains.

The set menu’s decent value and the pasta was properly authentic. Baileys tiramisu was light enough but I couldn’t really taste the Baileys in it.

Food's consistently good and the staff are friendly. Quiet enough to hold a conversation, which is rare around here. Solid spot for a relaxed dinner.

Garlic sauce is proper good. Twister fries are a solid shout too. Got shorted on fries once but they sorted it next time. Fair play.

The place has really good natural light and the seats are actually comfortable, which is rare for a coffee spot. I grabbed a pastry and it was decent. Didn't try the hot food this time, but I've heard it's a bit hit or miss. Nice spot to just sit for a while though.

The vegan potato cakes and sweet potato chips were really tasty—proper flavour, not just fried for the sake of it. Staff were sound, had to double-check the ingredients a couple of times but no hassle. Irish breakfast was decent too, not greasy at all. Solid spot if you're in Kilkenny.

The beer garden here is a proper sun trap, catches the light from lunch right through to evening. Managed to grab a decent spot without a mad scramble for seating. Pizzas were solid, but I was more taken with the wine list, a nice glass of something cold really sorted me out. Relaxed spot for an afternoon, no complaints.

Really enjoyed the vegan meal here. Sag aloo was proper good, and the staff kept checking in without hovering. Location's handy too, right in the middle of things. Price didn't hurt either. Only thing is it got a bit busy later on, but that's on me for timing. Solid spot if you're around.

The carbonara schnitzel was a fun twist—creamy sauce over a crispy cutlet, worked better than I expected. Trout was fresh, cooked just right. Truffle hash browns stole it though, proper crispy without being drowned in oil. Place was busy but we got seated quick enough. Would go back for those hash browns alone.

The shakshuka had real depth—tomatoes properly reduced, eggs still runny in the middle. That’s the main thing I remember. Place was busy for a weekday morning, but service kept up fine. No complaints about the coffee either. Solid breakfast option if you’re in the area and don’t want to queue for the usual tourist spots.

Been coming here for a while now, mostly for breakfast. The avo toast is still the one I keep going back to. Portion size is decent for the price, not massive but enough. Place gets busy enough on weekends but it's never felt like a hassle. Just a solid spot that doesn't change much, which I appreciate.

The pistachio basque cheesecake was properly good — rich and creamy. Small spot, so there's a bit of a wait, but fine for a quick stop.

The vegan cherry chocolate cake is properly good—rich but not too sweet, you can tell they put effort in. Just wish they'd add a few more vegan bits to the menu.

The hot and sour soup was genuinely top-tier. Chicken Szechuan with cashews was solid too. We sat there for two hours chatting, no one rushed us out.

The truffle sauce was the standout—best I've had anywhere. Price is a bit steep but the quality backs it up. Cocktails were decent too.

Stopped in for a quick bite and a drink. Good selection, no complaints there. Staff were sound. DJ was playing the same sort of stuff on repeat, got a bit boring after a while. Still, service was quick and the place had a decent enough buzz. Fine for a fast one.

The live trad session was the best part, hands down. Food was decent, nothing crazy, but the music and dancing made up for it. Staff were sound too. Place was packed but we still got a seat. Wouldn't mind going back just for the craic alone.

The lamb was properly tender, not overdone. Sourced local, you can taste it. Bit of a trek to get here but the food does the talking.
