I've tried this kind of bamboo steamer shop before, and their place was indeed very clean. The wooden tables and chairs created a retro feel. If you go, I suggest you don't just focus on taking pictures; carefully observe how well their bamboo steamers are maintained. I encountered one before that looked nice, but the seams of the steamer were all blackened.

The second-floor terrace of this shop has a fantastic view, directly facing Jiefang Road. Going in the morning when it's less crowded, ordering a coffee and watching the street scene, with cars going by, brings a special sense of peace. I recommend you go early to get a good spot.

The chili oil at this restaurant is the soul of the place. The staff noticed we were eating slowly and proactively came over to ask if we wanted more, which was a big plus. The coffee machine in the corner makes freshly ground, chilled coffee; a cup after a spicy meal is incredibly refreshing.
