This little café, tucked away in a corner of the ancient town, is enveloped in warm, yellow light as soon as you step inside. I ordered a hand-drip Mandheling, sat at the wooden table by the window, and watched the occasional passerby on the cobblestone street. The coffee's bitterness was gentle, with a hint of fruitiness, slowly melting on my tongue. The shadows of the green plants on the windowsill slanted across the table, creating a sense of tranquility. The price was reasonable too, just over thirty yuan a cup, enough to while away an afternoon.
The coconut latte was really good; the coffee aroma had a refreshing coconut sweetness that wasn't too cloying. The mocha was also quite smooth. I suggest you go early, as it can get crowded in the afternoon and you might have to wait.
The ice cream was scooped fresh from the freezer. The milk flavor was authentic. The price was good.
