I've eaten a lot of Northeastern-style barbecue before, but their sauerkraut is definitely different. It's very moist, and it's most fragrant when the edges are slightly charred and crispy, which helps cut through the greasiness. I suggest you definitely add sauerkraut when you order pork belly, don't eat it alone.
I've been eating at this place since college! It's definitely the originator of Northeastern barbecue in Enshi. The taste hasn't changed at all over the years. Have you been eating here for years too? Me too, haha 😄
His family's homemade meat salad was pretty good; the meat was quite tender. It came with pineapple and sesame sauce, which was interesting.
