CD云上China Merchants Bank has a 50% discount on Wednesdays. Dinner at Grand Hyatt buffet costs over 100 per person, which is quite cheap. I came here specifically to eat hairy crabs. I was able to eat as much hairy crabs as I wanted. Although they were not too big, they had a lot of crab roe. The other dishes were just average. There were no memorable dishes, including desserts... It was a little different from other hotel buffets in Chengdu. But their Chinese restaurant is pretty good...

It's a good deal to come here on Wednesdays with 50% off. There's no limit on the number of hairy crabs, you can get two at a time. There aren't many other dishes, but they're all pretty good. The seafood is average, the tiger crabs are not good, the shrimps are not big, and the desserts are also average. The hairy crabs are still okay, and there's no limit on drinks.
Café is located on the 16th floor of Grand Hyatt Chengdu. The decoration is quite standard, the seats are separated, there is an operating table in the middle, and there are mirrors to separate them, which is relatively quiet and private. The menu says that the tomahawk is enough for two to three people. My friend likes truffle mustard sauce, and I think red wine sauce is better.
Sara, the head chef of Grand Hyatt Hotel (a Taiwanese friend who has worked at many Michelin restaurants abroad), took me to visit the buffet restaurant of Grand Hyatt Hotel. The desserts were very nice, and I heard that their sushi is also good. Grand Hyatt’s restaurant is considered to be very good among hotels. Chengdu people don’t like to eat in hotels, and their good business was a surprise to me.
As 2018 was drawing to a close, my friends invited me over to celebrate. We sorted out the past year's problems, both resolved and unresolved, and then we ate our fill. The ambiance of this place was wonderful. It snowed the day we dined, and we enjoyed the buffet inside, warm and inviting, with snowflakes drifting outside the window. It was a wonderful experience. I love the window seats. While it's a bit far to get the food, walking around helps with digestion, so I can eat more food, hahaha. Besides the main dining area, there are also quiet booths, decorated in a traditional Chinese style. It's perfect for people of all ages. The most distinctive feature of this place is the desserts. The first and last dishes were both desserts, and we ate them all. Besides the shrimp, I recommend the pan-fried salmon fillet; it's delicious. The service was excellent. Tea and coffee were brought to you immediately upon notification. If the time was almost up, someone would gently remind you. Even if the timer was up, the service wouldn't be reduced, and no one would rush you to leave. A great place for friends to gather.
It was the first snow in Chengdu, and I met up with friends for one last get-together before the Lunar New Year to celebrate a successful 2018 and wish them a happy 2019. We chose a great spot, enjoying the snowy scenery while dining and drinking coffee. It was truly wonderful! I loved the fish fillet, lamb chops, and various desserts. The food here was truly delicious, and the service was excellent, even serving tea and coffee for us. Highly recommended.
