This restaurant has super strong air conditioning; stepping in on a summer day instantly feels like stepping into a warm, refreshing place! 😌 The best part is that you absolutely have to eat their noodles in! They're served piping hot, and one slurp is absolutely divine—it's a completely different experience from waiting at the counter for takeout. The broth is incredibly flavorful, and it feels like the meat and vegetables are prepared fresh daily. It was so satisfying!
I tried both the beef Lao You Fen (Old Friend Rice Noodles) and the Sichuan Pepper Beef Rice Noodles! Their beef is stir-fried before being added to the soup, and that smoky aroma is amazing—don't you guys love it too? The Sichuan pepper beef noodles have just the right amount of numbing sensation; my tongue was practically dancing while slurping the noodles, haha!
The Sichuan peppercorn beef rice noodles have a particularly prominent Sichuan peppercorn aroma. The balance of numbing and spicy flavors is perfect, without being overpowering. The beef is stewed until tender enough to absorb the broth. I recommend taking a few sips of the original broth first, then adding the restaurant's chili oil for a richer flavor profile.
