Had a late dinner on the riverside terrace. The sunset view was stunning, really set a nice mood. Their house red was surprisingly good with the grilled fish. A bit pricey, but you're paying for the location.

Lunch here was a treat! The omelette was just right, fluffy and full of flavor. The staff was so attentive even when the place got packed. A real find!

The place was packed but they still squeezed us in. Staff were really nice about it even though they were clearly running around.

The staff were so friendly and attentive. They took the time to explain the ingredients in detail, which I really appreciate as someone who cares about what I'm eating. It made choosing a healthy option much easier.

A bit of a walk to find it, but that terrace... wow. Just a few tables under the trees, felt like a secret garden. The light was perfect as the sun went down. Made the whole evening.

Stopped by for a coffee and their homemade ice cream. The staff were really friendly and efficient, which made for a relaxed, easy visit. The seating was comfortable too, a nice spot to just sit and unwind for a while.

Staff handled our big group without a reservation, no fuss. Food was good.

Been coming here for years. Their goat cheese tartlet is always light and tasty, and I like that they stick with local producers.

The grilled salmon was perfectly cooked, and the seasonal vegetables were incredibly fresh. A lovely spot for a healthy lunch.

The daily special looked gorgeous on the plate, and the flavors were spot on. Service was smooth and thoughtful, they really paid attention. A very pleasant lunch.

Loved the terrace by the river! The view of the Dronne was so nice on a sunny day.

Lunch on the patio with our dogs. The staff was really nice about letting us take our time between courses, never felt rushed at all. Good spot for a relaxed meal.

The duck maigret with noodles was the star. The skin was perfectly crisp, the meat tender. The sauce had a nice depth, paired well with the hand-cut noodles. A solid modern twist on a classic.

A simple bar in a lovely village. I stopped for a light lunch and really appreciated the fresh, crisp salad they served. The greens tasted like they were just picked. The view of the town hall is a nice bonus while you eat.

This was a wonderful meal from start to finish! The Bergerac white wine paired perfectly with our dishes. Our starters, foie gras for me and sweetbreads in an amazing mushroom casserole for my husband, were delicious. We both had the sea bass for the main course and it too was delicious. The desserts were beautifully presented and tasty, but we couldn’t finish them after all the great food that came before. Excellent, attentive service. No rushing. A beautiful evening! Mercí beaucoups!

The menu was very reasonably priced, the food beautifully cooked and presented. The service was courteous and efficient and the ambience very conducive to a relaxing lunch. We are regular visitors to Angoulême and we will definitely return. Highly recommended.

The house wine is solid. Not too sweet, not too dry. It’s a good match for the food. I keep ordering it.

Lunch on the quiet terrace was lovely. The foie gras was rich and smooth, just right. The pollack was cooked perfectly, flaky and moist. A very pleasant, relaxed meal.

Food is great, but last night they were not paying attention. At first they couldn’t find my reservation. They forgot my coke and I had to ask a second time. No biggie. Then they forgot the mozzarella on my pizza. I had to send it back to get it. Then my husband and I got dessert, a waffle to split, and they forgot the crème chantilly. They made no attempt to make this right. Which is disappointing because their food is excellent and in 4 years of being a loyal customer this was my first bad experience. But when you repeatedly mess up, you should try to be commerçant.

The steak was cooked exactly as requested. Service was prompt and efficient. Prices are fair for the location. Good for a business lunch.

Creative menu, tried the duck confit pasta. A bit pricey, but the flavors were spot on. Portion was decent. Would go back just for that dish.

The burgers are pretty good, with decent ingredients and nice flavor. Service was friendly, though a bit slow at the start.

Le Moulin du Roc is in an idyllic position on a pretty river. We were entertained by dancing damsel flies, the ones Rossetti describes as ‘like a blue thread loosened from the sky’, and a passing kingfisher zooming up and down. The service is professional and friendly; our waitress who did an impeccable job also advised me on how to germinate acer seeds! As for the food, it is classic French haute cuisine with imaginative details; strawberries with pea mousse, and savoury sorbets, for example. Everything delicious and attractively presented. Can’t wait till the next time.

Came for the music, stayed for the vibe. The playlist was spot-on, not too loud, just right for a Thursday night. Food was good, nothing fancy but solid. Honestly, the atmosphere is what they get right.

The service here is always so consistent, which is rare. They're genuinely attentive without being overbearing. And the bread basket is a real highlight - warm, crusty, and they keep it coming.

Family lunch spot. Simple dishes, well-seasoned. Desserts are generous, not too sweet. Good for a quick bite with the kids.

Cozy spot, loved the modern decor. The wine list had some interesting local finds. Paired a light red with the pasta, worked nicely. A bit on the quieter side for a Friday, but that suited me.

Comfy chairs in a modern space. Perfect for a quick bite. Got the chicken sandwich, came out fast. Good for a lunch break.

Been here a few times. Staff is always friendly and they know their stuff, especially if you have any food allergies or need to avoid certain things. Makes ordering easy. The vibe is pretty relaxed, good for a casual dinner.
