We have used this carvery many times and the service was good. I must say that the place nees a make over. I wish to mention that Danielle was again working hard. She looks for work to be done and was doing it even in another area. She def needs a mention

The private room is stunning, and the team helped us pick a wine list that really worked with our menu. A great spot for a special gathering.

Got the free doughballs deal on their app. They were warm and garlicky, a nice start. The app's worth downloading just for that, helps keep the bill down.

Grabbed the cauliflower starter and scallop & pork belly. Both came out super quick, perfect for a fast lunch. The mini dessert was a nice little bonus. Good for a quick bite.

Convenient canoe parking right by the river was a nice touch. The whole riverside setting just felt so relaxed and peaceful while we ate.

Lively spot with a dart board and pool table. The live band last Friday was a nice surprise!

Popped in for an early lunch again. The coffee is always spot on, and the staff remember my usual order. Just feels good to support a local spot like this.

Wandered in for a late lunch. The gluten-free menu was huge, which is a relief. Staff knew their stuff when I asked about cross-contamination. Had the fish and chips, felt normal for once.

Lovely old-school pub feel. They’ve got a good range of ales on tap. My dog was very welcome, which is a nice touch. The fish and chips were decent, though the chips could have been a bit crisper.

Been coming here for years, and the team always remembers you. That friendly welcome never changes, makes it feel like your local spot. Even during the pandemic, they were on it with the precautions, which I really appreciated. Just feels reliable.

The staff were so nice, even though we arrived just before closing! Made our late-night catch-up feel really welcoming.

Nice dinner with my wife. The steak was cooked a bit past medium-rare, which I noticed right away. Still tasted good though, and the service was spot-on - there when you needed them but never hovering. We had a relaxed time.

Lovely spot to sit outside on a sunny day. The view of the cathedral is so peaceful. Had a pot of tea and a scone, which was just right. Service was friendly and not rushed at all. A very comfortable place to pause for a bit.

Lovely pub, great atmosphere. Peter behind the bar was a real highlight, so attentive. He remembered our drinks order from last time, which was a nice touch. Made the evening feel that bit more personal.

A decent pub with pretty good food and a nice atmosphere. The outdoor seating has lovely views, though it can get a bit crowded. Had a pleasant evening there.

Spontaneous stop while passing through. The bar staff were friendly and efficient. Sat by the fireplace, which was a nice touch on a cold day. Portions were generous for under £10 a meal. Good, straightforward pub food.

Lovely little spot for a light lunch. The ploughman's had a really nice selection of Welsh cheeses.

Lovely little tea room. The afternoon tea was fantastic, the scones were still warm. Just a really relaxed spot, felt like you could sit for hours.

Food was really nice, looked great on the plate. Had the gluten-free pasta, which was a solid choice. A bit on the pricey side, but you get what you pay for here.

Been coming here for years, and the Sunday roast beef is always spot on. Tender, melts in the mouth, with those seasonal veg. It's the one thing I know I can count on. Lovely spot for it too.

First time trying this place. The fish cakes with pineapple salsa were a real surprise - fresh and light, not heavy at all. Generous portion too. Will be back for those!

Always grab their takeaway lunch. The food is consistently well-prepared and the service is quick. It's my reliable spot when I just need something good without the fuss.

Amy was super helpful with my food allergy questions. Food came out quick, tasted good. Perfect for a quick lunch.

Clean and comfortable spot, food came out quickly. Good for a relaxed meal, though it can get loud with big groups.

The server was super helpful, really took her time explaining the menu. Knew all the specials inside out. Made choosing a lot easier. That kind of attention is nice.

Loved the upstairs area for our Sunday lunch! It's so quiet and cosy, perfect for catching up with friends. The old building has so much character too. A really lovely spot.

Had a quick breakfast here with a friend. The food came out fast and was actually pretty tasty. I liked that they had a few local beers on tap too, even though it was a bit early for that! 😄

Been coming here for years, and the place is always spotless. It's that clean, modern look that still feels cosy. Makes a difference when you're a regular.

Decent gluten-free menu, more variety than most places. Had the pasta and it was fine. Service was efficient, got me in and out for a lunch meeting. Good option if you need GF in the area.

The team here really makes the place. Busy Saturday night, but our server was on it—knew the specials, kept things moving without feeling rushed. That kind of attentive service makes a big difference.
